To a large extent, the weather in Turkey depends not only on the season, but also on the geographical location of the resort. But in general, the subtropical Mediterranean climate of this country is considered quite favorable for recreation at any time of the year. In summer, by Russian standards, it is quite hot and dry, in winter it is cool, in some areas of the country it snows, and there are often wet fogs. Although in fairness it is worth mentioning that in the southwestern part of the country, where the majority of Turkish beach resorts are located, winters are snowless and are characterized by frequent torrential rains. Therefore, most hotels on the coast are closed at this time of year. In winter, people go to Turkey mainly for skiing and shopping in large cities.
The most comfortable vacation in Turkey is considered to be from late April - early May to late October. The swimming season lasts from early April to late October (the range of sea water temperatures from +20 to +25 degrees is more than conducive to this). It should be remembered that the weather in Turkey in July and August is the hottest; daytime air temperatures at this time of year here reach up to +38 degrees. Even at night, the thermometer rarely drops below +21. At the same time, in some resort towns, high air temperatures are accompanied by intense humidity.
The weather in Turkey in September is quite favorable for sunbathing and sea bathing: the sea warms up to +26, the air - up to +32. The weather in Turkey in October is considered slightly cooler, but still comfortable, when the thermometer outside shows +27, and the sea water pleases with a mark of +25 degrees. But at this time of year in the evenings by the sea it is quite fresh, so you can take a light windbreaker with you on vacation. By the way, those who do not tolerate heat will also like the weather in Turkey in May, with an air temperature of up to +25 and a sea water temperature of up to +20 degrees. While warm days are just setting in in Russia, the swimming season has already opened in Turkey, and you can sunbathe to your heart's content.
But for those who cannot wait for May and buy a tour to Turkey earlier, the information that in the first months of spring it is unlikely that you will be able to bring a bronze tan from the resort will be useful. As a rule, the weather in Turkey in March (as well as the weather in Turkey in April) is quite cool, the air warms up to no more than +20 degrees, and the temperature of the sea water does not exceed +18.
